I have had the good fortune to spend the last decade working at the ground level of a startup. Starting from the bottom and working my way up to a Senior Director level position, I was able to get a unique view from being part of the decisions and mistakes a company makes as it goes from being on the brink of bankruptcy to growth on a global scale.
My initiatives to continuously automate as much work as possible, re-evaluate processes, and improve redundancy allowed the company to grow at an exponential rate while not increasing headcount. The extra capital this saved us allowed us to easily handle industry-wide downturns without having to cut any of the workforce or pull back on any projects or goals.
I would like to bring my experiences to either a non-profit, charity, research institute, or startup where I can share my skills to do something meaningful.
May 2023 – Present
- Designed, developed, implemented, and trained custom AI Tutors built on our textbook offerings. Each Tutor is based on the idea of conversational learning, which allows the student to talk and back and forth with the Tutor using voice or text to ask or answer questions. The Tutors excel at breaking down complex topics, be it Physics, Biology, Mathematics, or Chemistry, into simple and easy to understand chunks. Since each Tutor is trained solely on their respective textbook, the Tutor matches the author's writing style, further extending the reach of the text.
- Leveraged LLMs to generate automatic content tagging for Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, as well as creating meaningful, near infinite Question Pools trained on embedded content direct from the texts
- Started the initiative and wrote the tooling for properly maintaining expiry of our Licensed content, which recovered nearly a third of our potential lost revenue to date
- Hardened and improved the Sales and Marketing process for capturing new opportunities and retaining our current customers. The additional automations built into our CRM removed multiple steps from the process

- Worked in tandem with C-Level Executives to discuss and develop the company as it grew from a single employee to a company with employees distributed throughout the world
- Independently initiated, designed, developed, and completed a project worth millions in annual revenue
- Reduced the need for additional workforce by automating development, support, and sales tasks
- Coordinated with clients and vendors to ensure all deadlines were met on time and beyond satisfactory

- Sole owner of the main revenue driving project for the company
- Coordinated across different companies and divisions to make continual progress towards shared deadlines
- Help shaped new Platform features and functionalities to better suite industry UX standards

- Direct interaction with publishers ranging from acquiring content, meeting strict deadlines, and delivering a professional product
- Wrote and implemented Python 3+ based automation scripts to save time and resources
